The Elementary School Counseling Program

The elementary school counseling program is a part of the total school program and aids in classroom learning. It is child-centered, preventative, and developmental. The main focus areas are academic, personal/social, and career exploration. The purpose of counseling with students, parents, and teachers is to help students maximize their potential and achieve academic success.

Nicole Douglas, School Counselor

Mrs. Douglas is excited to be back at Kedron for the sixth year. This is her 13th year in education in Fayette County Schools. She grew up in Fayette County and graduated from Georgia State University and The University of West Georgia. She is married and blessed with an amazing 6 year old son and 3 year old daughter. Mrs. Douglas will be at Kedron full-time teaching lessons to K, 1st, 4th, and 5th grade.

Rebekah Gilliam, School Counselor

This is Ms. Gilliam’s second year at Kedron, but her 15th as an elementary school counselor. She is originally from Tennessee, and she went to college at the University of South Carolina. She will be at Kedron part-time: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and every other Friday. She will be teaching lessons to Pre-K, 2nd and 3rd grade.
